For some it is an alternative choice to the bigger French ‘superstars’. The truth is it is a resort that offers something for everyone. Set at 1850 metres its snow reliability is of no concern and the access to skiing at over 3000 metres ensures snow cover is assured all season long. The green and blue runs just above the town offer some of the best variety for beginner and intermediate skiers in the whole of the Alps. For those more daring there is 245 km of pistes to keep you amused stretching over to Vaujany in the north and making up the Visalp ski area. With the longest black run in Europe and some challenging reds there is plenty for even the most hardened of skiers and boarders. With plenty to do off the slopes there will be plenty for families and non-skiers to do and the extensive après ski will keep the party groups happy!
